Thank you for your interest in Cub Scout Pack 588!

We are a Cub Scout Pack that meets every Tuesday from 6:30pm to 7:30pm at Ebenezer UCC Church at 7293 Decatur St, New Tripoli, PA 18066.  As a family pack, we welcome boys and girls to the Pack!

Our Pack is broken down by grade levels, with a group called a Den for each grade level from Kindergarten through 5th grade.  Each Den is led by a dedicated Den Leader, with each Scout's parental involvement that is essential to the success of our program.  Our pack currently has students from Northwestern Elementary, Weisenberg Elementary, Circle of Seasons, Kutztown School District and more.

In addition to the weekly Pack meetings, we participate in 5-7 campouts each year, excursions to baseball and hockey games, historical field trips, hikes, and many other activities.  We are also a service-focused pack, providing support to the community that we live in.  The adventures planned for this year can be found on the Events page.

Our Annual Dues and Fees are as follows:

• Annual Scout Dues - $140.00

• Fundraising Commitment or Buyout (Per Family) - $55.00

• Scout Life Magazine Subscription (per Family and Optional) - $15.00

These dues cover all of the costs associated with registering each Scout with the National BSA program ($85), the Handbooks ($24-$48) for each Scout, the Neckerchiefs ($13), all of the awards and advancements ($40 - $70), pinewood derby cars ($7), den expenses ($10-15 per Scout) and help defray the costs of some of the Pack level events that we put on as a pack.  It also helps defray the other costs that the Pack incurs for adult registrations and insurances.  On average, we estimate that each Scout costs between $210 - $240 (depending on rank) for the core program, plus any additional events that we put on.

 Additional costs apply to some of the other activities, but our pack works to minimize and subsidize those costs with fundraising.
